What data we process

Identification and contact details (name, email, phone) that you give us when you get in touch, subscribe to our news or book.

Health data you share as part of your medical consultation (medical history, blood tests, symptoms).

Health data

Health data is handled in the strictest confidence, subject to medical professional secrecy, and used solely to provide the medical service: assessment, preparing your plan and follow-up. It is never used for marketing and is never shared with third parties unless required by law.

Purposes and legal basis

Providing healthcare and keeping your medical record (Art. 9.2.h GDPR and Spanish Law 41/2002 on patient autonomy).

Answering your enquiries and managing your appointments (pre-contractual or contractual relationship).

Sending news and services, only if you subscribe (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).

Appointment management

Appointments are booked and managed through Doctoralia, which acts as the booking platform and processes the data you enter there under its own privacy policy. We also use WhatsApp and email to communicate with you.

Recipients

Only the providers needed to deliver the service (web hosting, booking platform, email and newsletter services), under data processing agreements. Data is not shared with third parties unless required by law.

Retention

Medical records are kept for the legally required period (at least five years after each episode of care). Other data is kept for as long as the relationship lasts plus any applicable legal periods; newsletter data until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@balmshealth.com. If you feel your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
